על ISADORA:

הרכב אלקטרו-פופ המשלב ווקאלז מהפנטים, ליריקה מדממת, סינטיים שמימיים וביטים כובשים.ממקום מושבם בתל אביב, ISADORA משדרים לעולם מיקס היפנוטי של פופ ממכר ומלודיות מורכבות ורב שכבתיות. הדואו מורכב מאיזדורה קאופמן (שירה) ודותן מושנוב (קלידים, גיטרה). ISADORA שחררה את אי-פי הבכורה שלה - POM - ב-2017 לקול שבחים.

קאופמן, סולנית ומנהיגת ההרכב, ילידת ניו יורק, יצרה והלחינה בטרם ידעה לנגן.

אביה, אלן קאופמן, סופר אמריקאי נודע, נתן לה את המחברת הריקה הראשונה בה החלה לכתוב שירה וסיפורת מילדות מוקדמת, דרכה הצליחה לתרגם את העולם ולהתמודד עם המציאות שלה. בשנות ה-20 המוקדמות לחייה התמודדה איזדורה עם הפרעת אכילה אשר הובילה לאשפוז.

בבית החולים היא כתבה והלחינה שיר יחד עם החולות האחרות, היא מצאה פסנתר ישן בפינה חבויה, לימדה את עצמה לנגן עליו וגילתה את העוצמה בקליעת מוסיקה לטקסט. זו היתה הפעם הראשונה ששרה. אחד משירי האי-פי Comfort In Liars נכתב בתקופת האשפוז ועוסק במסע הזה.

איזדורה פגשה את המפיק המוסיקלי דותן מושנוב, שעבד עם ענקים כמו ברי סחרוף, ארקדי דוכין ואסף אבידן, ולאחר כמה חזרות ביחד ההרכב קרם עור וגידים. בפרויקט זה, לקח מושנוב את אהבתו לפופ אל המקסימום, תוך שהוא מייצר ערבול חושני בין ביטים להרמוניות מרגשות.

אי-פי הבכורה, תואר על ידי מגזין Galore כ "Lana Del Ray sadness meets Taylor Swift danceable beats".האי-פי מהלך על הגבול הדק והמתעתע שבין כאב לאושר. הסינגל Leave Me למשל, מצייר את האובדן העצמי המתקיים באהבה. לעומתו Let It Burn סוחף את המאזין למסע מעצים מן האפלה אל האור. הדואו כרגע כותבים חומר חדש ומרגש לאלבום בכורה המיועד לצאת בהמשך השנה.

About ISADORA

An electro pop duo, incorporate mesmerising heartfelt vocals with exquisite synths.

From their base in Tel Aviv, ISADORA play hypnotic danceable pop interlacing compelling melodies over prominent synths. The duo is made up of Isadora Kaufman (vocals, songwriting, composition) and Dotan Moshanov (keyboard, music production, composition). They released their debut EP, P.O.M, in 2017.

Leader of the pack, Isadora Kaufman, began composing songs without knowing how to play an instrument. Influenced by her father Alan Kaufman, a renowned American author, Isadora used her innate talent to write poetry from a young age. It was later on that she felt that music was the perfect platform for “reading her poetry out loud”. In her early 20s, Isadora suffered from an eating disorder, which lead her to be hospitalized, where she would teach herself to play on an old unused piano. She had found a new language through which she could express her feelings and articulate her pain and suffering. The song “Comfort in Liars” was written by Isadora during that time, and is about acknowledging and accepting the everlasting wounds of her disorder and letting go of the shame.

Isadora was introduced to producer and composer Dotan Moshanov, who has worked with and created unique symphonic arrangements for acclaimed artists such as Asaf Avidan and Berry Sakharof. In this project, Dotan uses his versatile musical abilities and his passion for pop music to create a an elegant blend of beats and emotive sounds.

A beautiful synergy between bleak agony and optimism can vividly be heard in the layers of each song. “Leave Me” portrays a downward destructive spiral of losing oneself in a bad situation. Whereas “Let It Burn” takes you on an empowering journey from darkness to light offering the listener hope and strength.

ISADORA’s debut EP has already received much attention and praise, being described as “Lana Del Rey sadness meets Taylor Swift danceable beats” - Galore. The band are currently writing new and exciting material to be included in their debut album.
